Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC): Online catalog (to check list of books) facility is available to all users through the internet. The link for accessing our OPAC is http://library.git.edu. Each library patron can access their library account. The main features of the OPAC are to check the availability of books, self-renewal of borrowed books, to check due date, fine amount etc.

GIT Library Mobile App. (Android Only): The GIT Library app. is an exclusive mobile app. designed and developed for the use for the students and staff of our institute. The students and staff can use OPAC login credentials to log in to the mobile app. Keeping in mind that, mobile apps used generally focus on brief interactions of fifteen minutes or less. The GIT Library app enables the quick view of essential information such as – issued books, fine, reading history, and item search along shelf location.

Smart Reading Zone: GIT Library has Smart Reading Zone consisting 10 Kindle Devices to access more than 1.5 million e-Books covering Engineering & Technology, Business Management, Self-help, Leisure reading, Fictions & Competitive Exam, etc.

Reference Service: The Library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks, atlases and reference books.

Periodicals: Technical, competitive, and general magazines are available to read in the section.

Book Bank Service: The eligible students may submit online applications to get extra 3 books for entire semester in the Govt. Book Bank Scheme (GBBS) Section.

Current Awareness Service: In order to keep library users updated, the following are displayed on a regular basis: Recent additions of Books, latest received magazines, contents of books and magazines, and an Announcement of information on national/international Conferences/ Conducting events, etc.

User Awareness Programme: The library takes an active part in the orientation program organized by the institute for the benefit of new students at the beginning of the academic year. Any user desiring to know more about library resources and services or to learn how to use a particular resource like OPAC, e-journals, databases, etc. will be trained individually.

Reprographic Service: The Reprographic Service is made available at GIT Library.

News Paper Clipping: Scanned copies of GIT News, AICTE News, and KEA News will be preserved and updated on a blog and circulated to all the patrons. Click Here
