About the Department:
The Department of Physics has come into existence since the inception of the Institute (i.e. in the year 1979). The Department has good infrastructure with a spacious working area, consisting of three Laboratories, HOD’s Cabin, Staff Rooms, Departmental library, R&D Laboratory.
The department has well qualified, dedicated and self motivated faculty members and the supporting staff. The Department has been getting excellent results both in theory and practical examinations. The staff members have very good interaction with students and involve themselves in the welfare of the students. This ensures good academic performance of the students.Our Vision:
To unfold the secrete of beauty & creativity of science by making the best use of infrastructure available in our Department.

To make the students understand the basic concepts of Physics and to empower them to apply the concepts effectively in the field of Engineering and Technology.

All science is either physics or stamp collecting. In physics, your solution should convince a reasonable person. In maths, you have to convince a person who's trying to make trouble. Ultimately, in physics, you're hoping to convince Nature. And we've found Nature to be pretty reasonable.The Department provides a platform to the budding Engineer to understand the finer glimpse of Nature, which make them to exploit and innovate the advancement of technology
Short Term Goals:
1. To impart quality education in basic science.
2. To get consistent excellent results in both theory and practical.
3. To arrange lectures related to Science and Technolog.
Long Term Goals:
1. To expand the Basic Science support to all technical branches.
2. Setting up of Robust Research & Development Lab and to initiate the collaborative research work.
