We have a vibrant Student Association named ISEA under which several extra and co-curricular activities are organized to improve the overall personality of our students. All the events are planned and organized by the students themselves under the expert guidance of the faculty. Few of the events organized include, C-Skill Test, Aptitude Test, English Proficiency Test, Mock Recruitment Test, Group discussion. And in sports, games like Volley ball, Mixed Cricked and Chess are conducted.
Recently during last semester batch-2009-10 under ISEA banner, a state level techfest named "Technosparkz'09"was succesfully conducted with a participation of over 350 students from GIT and other engineering colleges of our state. As part of this event the activites conducted are depicted here :

The event was inaugurated by the Dr. K.V.Balaji, Registra VTU, Belgaum and presided over by our beloved GC chairman Shri. Uday Kalkundrikar. The winners of the events were awarded with prizes and certificate of merit.
During the event, Obuntu Linux CD was freely distributed to all the participants by Mr. Swapneel Patnekar, CEO, Eth1 Networks, Belgaum. His talk on Ethical Hacking was attended by a huge audiance.
The then Principal, Dr. M.D.Kulkarni appreciated the effort put in by all the faculty and students of our department in organizing this event successfully.
The students of our Department have won Overall General Championship for two consecutive terms at Avalanche the college level technical festival.
