Overview
Computer Center caters to the computing needs of the faculty members and the students for their research and teaching. It has a user base of more than 2800 with about 700+ active users at any given point of time. Computer Center has a number of state of the art servers like Dec Alpha DS10, IBM X220/226 Series, Compaq Proliant etc. The Center also has more than 550 Windows 2000/XP, Linux and Macintosh Machines. All the computers in the center are connected through a 10/100 Mbps network. Computer Center supports an institute wide 10/100 Mbps e-CAT5 Network with fiber optic as backbone that connects all the Academic Departments, Central Library, Administrative Departments to the Computer Center. Internet and e-mail services are provided to all the users through a dedicated 4 Mbps Internet link. Computer Center operates 13 hours a day. There are totally 10 well equipped Air-conditioned laboratories categorized in general, according to expertise areas. It also has a well equipped air-conditioned Digital Library with access to e-books and journals.

# Empanelled as Training Centre by Government of Karnataka.
# Our Programming & Applications Lab. has been renovated to extend the facility of On-Line Computer Based Training with Audio Visual support.
# Our Linux Lab has been renovated for the extensive usage.
# Our CAD/M Lab has been renovated with additional 20 Computer Systems for the usage of CAD/M Applications.
# We have setup a new laboratory called DataBase Applications Lab. (Wi-Fi Lab) with total wireless with 60 latest P-IV Computer Systems with TFT LCD Color Monitors for the usage of DataBase and CAD Applications.
# Our Digital Library has been renovated with the addition of 18 latest P-IV Computer Systems (Total-28) with total wireless technology.
