IBM recognized KLS Gogte Institute of Technology as a centre of excellence, through this initiative IBM will be conducting the workshops on IBM tools for the students and faculty of our institute and conduct online certification exams.

IBM India inaugurated the IBM Centre of Excellence Lab at our institute on 25th Jan, 2010. In this regard Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mr. Himanshu Goyal, Country Manager, Academic Initiative, Developer Works & Globalization IBM Software India/South Asia and Shri. A. G. Kulkarni, Chairman, Karnatak Law Society, Belgaum.

A three day workshop and online certification examination on DB2 was organized by IBM through center of excellence for students and faculty of Computer Science, Information Science and Master of Computer Applications. More than 40 students and 02 faculty got certification in IBM DB2.

IBM conducted Develothon 2010, through which technical sessions on IBM Software like Skills for Smarter Planet- developer works, web 2.0 overview, information agenda, business performance management (BPM), business intelligence (BI), social networking collaboration, mashups and service oriented architecture (SOA) and cloud computing. IBM has organized road show at selected 32-cities across India.

A four day workshop and online certification examination on IBM Tivoli Directory Server was organized by IBM through center of excellence for students and faculty of Computer Science, Information Science and Master of Computer Applications. More than 20 students and 01 faculty got certification in IBM Tivoli Directory Server.
