The primary objective of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is to standardize all the teaching learning processes and continuously evolve steps to ensure quality of teaching. Quality improvement is a continuous process, and conscious efforts should be made to improve quality of education imparted to the students. The IQAC conducts meetings once in a week to discuss and adopt measures to be taken to educate the faculty at the department to understand and implement the OBE paradigm. One of the major functions of IQAC is to organize training programmes for the faculty to improve their teaching quality, competence and educate them in the use of IT in Education.


With cooperation from all the Heads of the departments and the faculty, we have been able to prepare all the necessary documents in a very short span of time. These documents include, Course Document, Assignments, Tutorial, Quiz, Course Project, Course Seminar and Lab course documents. Orientation programmes for all the semesters were conducted to educate the students and apprise them of benefits of accepting this new teaching learning paradigm. The response from the student community was extremely encouraging and we have seen just in few weeks students are finding the class room experiences truly helpful in enhancing their understanding of the subjects. We are sure, after just one semester, all the stakeholders (faculty, students, parents and industry) will realize the benefits of this approach


To ensure uniform implementation of the Outcome Based Education (OBE) norms across all the departments, quality cells at the departments have been formed with two core-members, two stream leaders and one Association coordinator as members of the team. This cell would advise and help the Head of the department in implementing the OBE process in all the teaching learning activities.

With the encouragement from our beloved Principal Dr. A.S.Deshpande and support from our esteemed Management, we are sure, GIT will emerge as a leading institute in implementing OBE in its true sense. We seek your feedback, guidance in further improving quality of education in GIT.

  3. To assist the departments in getting accreditation for all UG and PG programmes as per new NBA norms which is focusing on  Outcome Based Education
  4. Significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of institute
  5. To prepare the departments to get ABET accreditation for all UG and PG programmes
  6. To establish tie-ups with other institutes for academic collaboration
  7. To organize faculty development programmes
  8. To standardize the documentation formats and procedure across all departments
