Our department is home to multi talented students,who have excelled not just in academics but also in extra and co-curricular activities.By participating in various events, they have brought laurels to the department and made us feel proud! !
Highlighting a few outstanding achievements by our students in recent times are:
- Mr. Nagraj Tantri and Mr. Sujit Anand from 7th semester have been selected for Internship Program at Future Group, Bangalore.
- Mr. Rohan Gadad from 4th semester won 2nd prize in the Regional Finals of TCS TECH BYTES organized by the Board of IT Education Standards (BITES) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in April 2010.
- Students of our 6th semester have achieved the distinction of being IBM certified Database Associates for DB2 9 Fundamentals.
- The top two prizes in the inter departmental Quiz conducted during “Aero Fest”, were bagged by our students,
- Students from our department won laurels in technical paper, web designing and 2D animation competitions in the Computer Society of India –Bangalore Chapter and ACIT, Bangalore, held on 24th October 2009
- Mr Niraj Shah and Mr Abhishek Deshpande from 5th semester won first prize in web designing.
- Mr Manoj Mand Mr Manas Vaze from 7th Semester won second prize in web designing.
- Mr Sachin Bhat from 3rd semester won second prize in Technical paper presentation for his paper titled “Sanskrit Compiler”
- Mr Niraj Shah and Mr Abhishek Deshpande from 5th semester won second prize in 2D animation.
- A total of 19 projects were sponsored under the STUDENT PROJECT PROGRAMME (SPP) by KSCST – 32nd Series, of which five projects were selected for the 32nd series project exhibition/seminar held at NITK Surathkal on 4th & 5th September 2009
