OVERVIEW

Department of Chemistry was established in the year 1979 as a supporting department to other programs of Engineering. The department is recognized as a research center in the year 2005 and offers Ph.D. programme, which is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.

Department also undertakes the consultancy and testing work.The faculty members are actively involved in Teaching and research.  Major research areas are Ion-exchange selectivity studies, Water quality, Adsorption, Reaction Kinetics, Nanomaterials, Cyclic-voltametric studies and Environmental chemistry. Faculty members have published a number of research papers in reputed national and international journals and presented papers in national / International conferences and seminars.
