Exhibition during Counil of Architecture inspection April 2012

Ar Vikas Bhandari and Ar Sandya Nivsarkar, from Pune as Council of Architecture inspection committee visited the department. Students of all semesters had put up exhibiton.

2nd semester Art Space(an extension of Art Appreciation class) was inauguarated by Ar Vikas Bhandari during the visit.

Art Space is a dedicated exhibiton space for artwork of the students. Every year new set of artwork and sculptures are exhibited.

Other exhibitions included students design portfolios, basic design works, study tour panels, photograhy, Planning studio work.

9th sem students in their Planning studio documented Yelur village presented this and new proposals to the insection committee.

Exhibition for Academic advisory committee meet on 5th March 2010

A meeting with  Members of the committee-Ar.  K. Jaisim –Bangalore,Dr. A K Rege - Goa,Ar Pushkar Kanvinde -  Pune,Ar. B K Joshi- Belgaum,Ar. Rahul Paul- Bangalore was organised.  To introduce the department  the students organised an exhibition or their works

The main strategy of the Exhibition of the students work was to cover the range of exercises especially in the development of the Design skills.

The exhibition was divided in four segments-

• Section 1-  Design works ranging from Sem 1 to Sem 7.
• Section 2-  Design works of Sem 8 and 9.
• Section 3- Art work of the department
• Section 4- Award winning works of NASA and Thesis works.

Section 1 and 2 had number of Design Exercises each complimented with a brief to understand the process employed by the faculty. This process was briefed to the committee before the individual presentations of the students.

Section 3 had the Painting and sculpture works done as creative exercises to improve their appreciation of art. This was especially appreciated by the Committee.

Section 4 had Award winning NASA work and top two thesis works which were also presented at the prestigious Karula Varkey forum at Ahemdabad. This too was well received by the committee. 

Exhibitions of student's works in Painting, Sculpture, Crafts, Photography etc..  are regularly conducted at the Department of Architecture to promote and encourage students.
