July 2012 Study Tours

Students of 3rd semester division A and B studied and visited  the South Indian temples as part of Study tour. They visited Chennai, Pondichery, Madurai, Mahaballipuram and Kanyakumari. Pre-tour study was conducted, by  getting details from books and Internet. This was presented in the form of Portfolio.

The study tour for 5th semester students included a visit to North Indian cities like- Delhi,Agra, Fathepur Sikhri, Chandigarh and Amritsar. Pre -tour studies was conducted to get indepth information of the places to be visited. Post tour, the students made a study tour panel on works by Ar. Le Corbusier, which was inaugurated  by Ar. Deepak Guggari on 8th sept 2012.

July 2011 Study Tours

A study tour of south Indian temples included Chennai, Pondicherry, Madurai, Mahabalipuram and Kanyakumari was oraganised by the Department for 3th sem students. 

A study tour was oraganised by the Department for 5th sem students to places to and nearby Ahmedabad and Majaor cities in Rajasthan.

They visited City  Palace,Lake Palace, "city of lakes" Pink city,Jaisalmer, Jodhpur etc.

Study tour panels are made by 5th sem showing detailed drawings of rathas and shore temple of Mahablipuram, Brihadeshwara Temple fromTanjore which they visited in July.

The panels are installed in the department and were inauguarated by renowned Ar B.K. Joshi and Ar. B. D Kudalkar.

As part of academic program, Study tours are organised to various sites of historical and architectural importance.                              Students sketch and prepare measure drawings of any chosen monument or building as part of the study tour. Exhibition and presentation of tour activities are organised at the college. FATEHPUR SIKRI
